The BB15000 Class were built by Alsthom & MTE between 1971 and 1978 for crack express from Paris to the North East regions of France. Most of these services passed through Bar le Duc, on the main line between Paris, Strasburg, Nancy, Metz etc. The line now sees very little traffic compared with its heyday in the 1960/70's when famous international TEE trains such as the Kléber and Stanislas would pass through. The high speed TGV lines have taken all the passenger traffic away so this Lorraine town now only sees a few services a day and from a railway point of view is now a backwater. Here, 15002 is ready to depart with one of the few loco hauled trains, the 19:27 Bar-le-Duc to Paris Est on 14th April 2014. Click here for a look at the worksplate!
